Self-declaration 2024 – Statement pursuant to the Transparency Act (for the financial year 2023)
This statement on due diligence assessments has been prepared by Bislett Kebab House AS in accordance with Section 5 of the Transparency Act. The document applies to the calendar year 2023 and was approved by the Board of Directors on June 20, 2024.
General information
The Board of Directors of Bislett Kebab House AS holds the overall responsibility for ensuring that the company complies with the requirements of the Transparency Act. A dedicated resource has been appointed to handle the practical implementation of this work. The Board adopts the company’s policies and annually approves the report on how the law is being followed.
Bislett Kebab House AS operates a fast-food chain with 13 branches in Norway, and is engaged in dining services, food production, and takeaway. The work to ensure fundamental human rights and decent working conditions is anchored in the Board and has been communicated to managers and key personnel within the company.
Internal procedures have been established for reporting and handling any breaches of human rights or working conditions, in accordance with applicable laws and the company’s ethical guidelines.
Assessment of risk and need for measures
As of the reporting date, no specific issues have been identified that give reason to believe there are violations of fundamental human rights or decent working conditions within our own operations or among our main suppliers.
An overall risk assessment of the company’s supply chain has been conducted, with particular focus on raw materials, packaging, and distribution. The analysis concludes with a generally low to moderate risk. Our largest suppliers have been assessed individually, and close dialogue and documentation requirements have been established.
Within the company, regular employee reviews and follow-up on the working environment are carried out.
Measures
Based on the due diligence assessment for 2023, no need for corrective measures has been identified at this time. The risk analysis is updated annually and is continuously reviewed in the event of significant changes in the business or supply chain.
